Άσκηση 5 - CO-OPERATION



We had to design a door that connects differents places, so we chose to conect a tecnical room, that is normally big and noisy with a small meeting room, that needs more privacy. When the door is closed it seems like a small horizontal wall into the space of the tecnical room and doesnt take up too much space. However, when the door opens, touches the wall next to it and creates a small temporary room with a portable table that is fully private and no one of the outside can enter or interrupt the inside

  Στη σημερινή εποχή οι κάτοικοι είτε αυτών των επαρχιακών πόλεων είτε των μεγάλων αστικών κέντρων είναι αποξενωμένοι, η κατάσταση οξύνθηκε ακόμα περισσότερο τα τελευταία χρονιά με τη πανδημία να κλείνει τον καθένα σπίτι του σε κατάσταση καραντίνας. Το θέμα του συγκεκριμένου μαθήματος είναι η κατανόηση του δημόσιου και ιδιωτικού χώρου καθώς και η έννοια των κοινών. Για αυτό κι σε αυτήν την άσκηση ζητείται να επιλεχθεί ένας τόπος πόλης ή υπαίθρου ώστε να επεξεργαστεί η πρόταση κάποιου έργου, δράσης ή προτζεκτ που θα δίνει έμφαση στους κοινούς χώρους που περνάνε πολλές φορές απαρατήρητοι. Μετά από πολλές ιδέες καθώς το συγκεκριμένο θέμα είναι αρκετά πολύπλευρο, η τελική παρέμβαση μας διαμόρφωσε την επικοινωνία γειτονικών μπαλκονιών ψηλών πολυκατοικιών σε στενά δρομάκια της Θεσσαλονίκης, με σκοινιά σε διάφορα ύψη από τα οποία κρέμονται ρούχα, υφάσματα και κορδέλες σε διάφορα χρώματα και μεγέθη. Σκοπός της συγκεκριμένης παρέμβασης είναι να τονίσει το θέμα της μοναξιάς κι της αποξένωσης...

  This window is supposed to be located on the exterior wall between the main lounge area and the outdoor space of a cafeteria. Designing a window for this particular space could be accomplished by a simple design which covers the needs of temperature, sound and air quality control. But considering the need to increase socialization between the users of the space, besides the comfort in it, we added a few extra key elements on its design. The cafeteria being a space for not only having a coffee or any other beverage but also being able to offer comfortable spaces where people could study or work in, guided us to offer extra table area to the users and provide them with extra shading devices in case of sun glare. With this set of goals being set we designed an elevating platform on each side of the wall which can be put on the preferable height depending on the persons needs, being used as a table or as a shading device.
